Knut Harald Nylænde is the founder and CEO of Moxie AS is an investment company in Oslo, Norway . He was previously chartered accountant and manager in an accounting firm and served as CFO and later as CEO of an international investment and trading company . He received his education at the Norwegian School of Economics ( NHH ) and BI. Knut Nylænde is known for its strategic understanding and for its expertise in identifying and investing in smaller companies with growth potential. He is often an active participant and contributor to the development of companies.
In his spare time Knut likes reading books. Among his favorites are Guns, Germs, and Steel ( Guns , Germs and Steel ) by Jared Diamond , Ayn Rand’s classic Atlas Shrugged ( Atlas Shrugged ) and Growth of the Soil by Knut Hamsun .
In 1999, Knut founded Moxie AS, an Oslobased investment group. Over the years, Moxie has grown to a respected, but low key investment group in Oslo, and with Knut’s leadership, it has acquired and established numerous at companies in a diverse range of industries. Investments are carried out through equity acquisition and by debt financing. The company, in partnership with other investors, Focus in its longterm investment horizon. Today, Moxie AS, together with its Subsidiaries, has an excellent track record.
Knut H. Nylænde received education in Accounting and Economics from two of the nation’s best institutions: the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and the BI Norwegian Business School (BI). As a Stateauthorized Public Accountant (Certified Public Accountant), Knut previously served as consultant for a number of large businesses. From 1999 Thurs 2004, he was an expert Lay Judge in the District Court of Oslo. Outside the professional realm, Knut enjoys water activities like diving, swimming, and fishing. Very few people know that Knut was also a chess champion in his younger years.
